Interim Management With A Focus

Interim Management and permanent placement follow similar recruitment processes with the only major difference being the speed of recruitment - interim takes days or weeks whereas permanent usually takes months. Following successful interim assignments, several clients have requested us to undertake permanent recruitment exercises, particularly executive recruiting in Information Technology and Systems (IT or IS&T). Consequently, we provide comprehensive permanent systems recruitment services and executive headhunting for senior technology positions - from project manager or technical specialist up to IT Director or CIO. Often, particularly when the interim market is depressed, some of our registered interim managers will consider a permanent position. Therefore, when commissioned to find a permanent recruit the first stage is to search our register of over 1,600 senior IT professionals to find appropriate candidates who might be prepared to accept a permanent role. We can build on this by advertising the position if appropriate. We offer these services on a retained basis or contingent on success, whichever is appropriate for the client and role.
If a more comprehensive search is required, we can conduct a retained executive headhunting exercise involving a search and selection process using our extensive network of contacts throughout the ICT and business world. Targeted advertising can be arranged and we have also undertaken assignments outside of IT.
We have a number of successful placements and look to provide the right candidate(s) for the job, and the right job for the candidate(s). As with our interim business, we look to nominate no more than three candidates and if we cannot find qualified individuals, we will not waste clients’ time by submitting candidates that do not meet the minimum requirement.
An attractive alternative to traditional recruitment is our hybrid service, involving interim and permanent executive recruiting and combining the benefits of both of the two resourcing options. Senior permanent positions typically take many months to complete and can be particularly protracted processes when the right candidate is difficult to find and/or secure. Therefore, we offer two main options to alleviate the pressure on executive teams with a temporary gap as follows:-

Executive Recruitment

using one of our highly qualified interim executives as a locum who is briefed either to "hold the fort" or initiate change, until we locate a new permanent recruit; |

using an interim manager who will consider converting to permanent status in the future if both parties are in agreement. This option requires Turnoak to be precisely briefed because many professional interim managers will not consider a permanent role as they see their career as interim only.
