Turnoak currently has the following interim opportunities and consultancy vacancies with clients. This is not an exhaustive list of postions available and although we specialise in Information Systems & Technology (IT or ICT), ecommerce and change management, this is not exclusively so. Extranet Development

Our client, a high street retailer, wants to investigate the potential for and scope of an extranet, connecting them securely to their suppliers who are dispersed across the globe. The initial project will involve travelling to the client’s senior management around the UK and some other European locations to ascertain what, if any, communications with suppliers are needed/wanted. This feasibility stage is expected to last 6-8 weeks at the end of which an outline specification, a business case and a plan for developing the extranet facilities, if appropriate, will be the main deliverables. It is hoped that the person working on this initial stage will then go on to manage the delivery of the extranet. Knowledge of retail buying and merchandising processes is essential as is experience of e-commerce. Any candidates will need to be able to converse with non-technical retailers about their supplier relationships.

Programme Manager

An experienced Programme Manager is needed to manage a £2m programme of work as well as help to develop a centre of excellence in programme management. You should be MSP practitioner qualified and also preferably Prince2 qualified with experience in delivering programmes of work as well as in implementing programme management methodologies.

Product Director

An interim product director is needed immediately to manage a product development team for c. 6 months reporting to the COO.

You would need to be experienced in:-
·   WiFi
·   Mobile/Aps services
·   Systems in terms of mobile
·   Mobile devices
·   Very familiar with Sim authentication

Demonstrable success in defining and launching successful products within the technology market place is required, preferably within mobile markets, together with a senior level of management /business experience - someone who is able to grasp commercially all the principles of ROI etc. and working effectively. This is a unique combination of strategic thinking, plus hands on doer where required to be. It is a fast moving / developing environment and our client requires someone who is flexible and adaptable - excited by new ideas and/or technology and willing to pick up and work with new initiatives no matter how unfamiliar. They also need a team player.

Project Manager

A PM is needed to project manage the EPoS and back office systems implementation for a major British retailer in Germany. Fluent German is essential and experience of retail (or similar eg hospitality) outlet implementations would be preferable. This will require travel around Germany to implement systems in new branches.
